Many of today’s industrial wireless applications are no longer limited to indoor usage. MOXA’s new AWK-1200’s weatherproof design, flexible deployment and extensive security allow you to enjoy the best in outdoor wireless connectivity today.

The MOXA AWK-1200 Access Point/Bridge or AP Client is the ideal solution for hard-to-wire applications, or using mobile equipment connected over a TCP/IP network, or if installing wire is too expensive. It is available in two different models: (1) Industrial IEEE802.11g/b wireless Access Point/Bridge, and (2) Industrial AP Client.

Due to the rugged IP68/IP67-rated housing, which offers seamless protection against the effects of dust and water, and a -20 to 70°C operating temperature range, the MOXA AWK-1200 is ideally suited for outdoor applications, such as water/wastewater treatment, outdoor surveillance, wind energy plants or road tunnels. Since the environment for these applications can be quite extreme, system integrators need to use products that can stand up to the damaging effects caused by hot temperatures, dust, and rain. The MOXA AWK-1200 is perfectly matched to these kinds of harsh conditions.

The antenna can be detached, thus users are not limited to only the standard antenna models, but can choose from an array of special-purpose antennas. Due to the MOXA AWK-1200’s (PoE) Power-over-Ethernet design it is easy to deploy - there’s no need to worry about finding a power supply in outdoor environments..
