Server-Based Serial Connectivity

The Speed4 is a high-performance, intelligent, low-maintenance, multi-port I/O serial card for PCI-based servers. They are designed for integration into server-based serial communications applications based on any of a wide range of UNIX and Windows operating systems.

Speed4 cards are most frequently used in applications requiring the connection of point of sale equipment (such as cash tills and barcode readers) multi-user terminal systems (using ’dumb’ terminals or thin client architectures) and Automated Teller Machines. Full control line support in the Speed4+ also makes it suitable for any modem or ISDN Terminal Adapter RAS application.
