InnoTrans is the leading international trade fair for transport technology and takes places every two years in Berlin. Sub-divided into the five segments Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction, InnoTrans occupies all 41 halls available at Berlin Exhibition Grounds. The InnoTrans Convention, the event’s top-level supporting programme, complements the trade fair.
A unique feature of InnoTrans is its Outdoor Display, where everything from tank wagons to high-speed trains are displayed on 3 500 metres of track.
For the first time in 2016 the Bus Display offers vehicle manufacturers the possibility to demonstrate buses on a static display area and the adjacent Demonstration Course.
InnoTrans is organized by Messe Berlin. The eleventh InnoTrans will take place from 20 to 23 September 2016.

Intelligence on Wheels, founded in 2012, is a spin-off of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) committed to the commercialization of an innovative train collision avoidance system. It is our vision that every train will be equipped with our technology as additional means of technical train protection. In doing so, the safety level will be lifted from whatever safety technology is installed along the track or in the train to a higher level. Our product can be permanently or temporarily installed on any rail vehicle including construction & maintenance vehicles. It can also be used to protect track workers. A variety of related services are offered to the customers, including for instance the generation of electronic maps.

With its outstanding routing performance and fulfillment of the EN50155 requirements, the NB3800 MediaRail enables next generation passenger WiFi, passenger information, digital signage and multimedia applications in trains. Equipped with up to four 3G/4G modules which can be bundled, the total bandwidth can be extended to the needs of the intended applications. Especially with passenger entertainment applications, the increased total throughput generates a great user experience. The quad SIM feature and the sophisticated WAN link manager are offering load balancing to achieve maximum connection availability using multiple network providers.The in-vehicle WiFi coverage is enhanced by providing up to two WiFi access points with latest IEEE 802.11ac standard and 2x2MIMO beam forming technology. Thanks to its port-based subnetting feature, the NB3800 is able to separate different application networks, thus avoiding interferences and guaranteeing dedicated communication paths. Quality of Service support allows prioritizing the traffic to avoid that less important tasks are blocking high priority data transfer. The built-in SSD disk with up to 1TB storage keeps documents, pictures, audio, and video files as well as application specific web page content. A powerful Web server for own web pages, WiFi captive portal software and a media server for streaming audio, pictures and videos is also included. Available options include interfaces for CAN, RS-232, RS-485, Audio Line In/Out, GSM-R, IBIS and dead reckoning GNSS. The router software is based on well proven components including an embedded Linux operating system and a powerful communication protocol suite. The device is managed via web browser, command line interpreter or SNMP. Self-provisioning for new software or new configuration is possible. The device can be configured remotely by customer programs via a powerful application interface. Customer specific software extensions may be developed via a sophisticated SDK. The ioPAC 8600 modular RTU controllers are 100% modular, giving users the freedom to choose CPU, power, backplane, communication, and I/O modules. In addition, the ioPAC 8600 enhances the hardware system architecture and key features of the ioPAC 8020 and ioPAC 8500 combined. It also adds an Ethernet bus on the backplane to support Ethernet switch modules. The ioPAC 8600 supports the C/C++ and IEC 61131-3 programming languages and ready-to-run services, including Modbus TCP/RTU, SNMP, data logging, and email alarms to fulfill different customers’ requirements. With active tag and MX-AOPC data integration software, the ioPAC 8600 series provides a comprehensive solution for data acquisition and control applications in harsh environments. Moxa’s ioPAC 8600 programmable controllers allow programmers to rapidly configure services (SNMP, Modbus RTU/TCP, E-mail alarm service, etc.) without writing any programs. The ioPAC can reduce the configuration of massively distributed deployments to a few simple mouse clicks, greatly increasing an engineer’s productivity.
The ioLogik E1500 series is designed to withstand the severe vibrations experienced in rolling stock and wayside applications. These products come with a threaded M12 Ethernet port to ensure wired connectivity, a spring-type terminal block for vibration-resistant cabling, and a convenient DIN-rail mounting assembly. Carefully engineered DI channel-to-channel isolation helps maintain stable data communications by providing protection against cross-line power surges and crosstalk. In addition, this remote I/O product is compliant with EN 50121-3-2, EN 50121-4, and a portion of EN 50155 specifications, covering operating temperature, power input voltage, surge, ESD, and vibration, making the products suitable for a variety of industrial applications, including electronic equipment used on or around railway vehicles. |
