What will change?

• Upgrades Moxa Industrial Linux 3 (Debian 11) from v3.1 to v3.3.
  New Features
  • Supports encryption of external disk partitions such as a USB drive and SD card.
  • Supports Telit LE910C4-WWXD module for Asia-Pacific models.
  • Moxa Computer Interface Manager (MCIM) tool
    • Supports enable/disable of peripheral interfaces (Ethernet, console port, and serial port).
    • Supports I/O status settings (U-boot version 3.2 or higher required).
  • Moxa Connection Manager (MCM) tool
  • Supports Auto APN (automatically enabled when the APN field is left blank).
  • Supports automatic time synchronization with an NTP server, GPS location, or cellular base station.
  • Adds support for the “WiFi-p2p” interface, allowing peer-to-peer Wi-Fi connections for direct device access without requiring an access point—useful for remote debugging in the field.
  • Supports automatic switching between cellular and Wi-Fi networks based on signal strength.
  • Allows locking the cellular connection exclusively to 3G or 4G.
  • Moxa Software Updater (MSU) Tool

  Enhancements
  • Includes the latest security patches.
  • Moxa Connection Manager (MCM) tool
  • Supports IPv6 addressing on LAN1 when the interface type changes from “managed” to “none”.
  • Monitors GPSD to prevent unexpected GPS port changes from impacting GPS functionality.
  • Adds SIM activation support to improve SIM registration success rates.
  • Built-in driver support for Moxa UPort-G2 Series devices to enable serial port expansion.
  • Moxa System Manager (MSM) tool
  • Supports compression to reduce backup file size.
  • Supports creating snapshots, replicas, and backups in cold mode to ensure data integrity.
  Bug Fixes
• LAN1 sometimes fails to obtain IPv4 and IPv6 addresses when Type is set to "none" in Moxa Connection Manager (MCM).
• Cellular data usage is sometimes displayed as zero in MCM.
• Manually (via CLI) turning off power to the cellular module will restart MCM.

Which products will be affected?

1. HW Rev. is the revision number printed on the product sticker of a Moxa Arm-based computer
2. The MIL3 version can be queried using the mx-ver command.
3. Updates to Moxa Industrial Linux may affect software on your computer. We strongly recommend testing compatibility with the software before applying the updates.

When will the new versions be available?

The updated versions of the UC-8210-T-LX-S (CTO) Secure/Standard will be available for order starting from April 24, 2025. Orders placed on or after this date will automatically include the new enhancements.
